Ann-Marie graduated from Birmingham University in 1992 with a B.Eng (hons) in Chemical Engineering. Starting her career with Johnson Matthey plc she began her working life developing catalytic converters for cars and catalytic systems for general industrial use. Having worked on a patent for a reactor design producing high purity hydrogen from methanol, this gave Ann-Marie an interest in the law.
After four years with Johnson Matthey, Ann-Marie took a career break to travel the world. On her return from travelling, and finally deciding on a career change to the law, Ann-Marie began her legal training with Williamson & Soden's private client department.
Ann-Marie decided to pursue her career in the private client area of practice enjoying contact with clients to assist them with Will-making, probate and estate administration and powers of attorney.
With the continuing expansion and growth of the private client team, Ann-Marie is driving the development of the team's knowledge and expertise in working with and on behalf of vulnerable clients. This includes practising in the Court of Protection concerning decision-making for those lacking mental capacity to do so with respect to their health and welfare and property and financial matters.
Ann-Marie qualified as a Legal Executive in 2007 and finally achieved admittance as a Solicitor in January 2011.
Ann-Marie is married with three children and is currently a serving community Governor of Haslucks Green School.
